The story of how AB Technology began, when founder and engineer Ante Baskovic Sr. was asked one question, "Could this be automated?", and answered it by building the produce industry's first clamshell labeling system. More than 15 years of customer-driven refinement later, that same denest-pad-restack design runs in machines for everything from berries to proteins.

AB Technology's continuous rotary Label Line denests, labels, and restacks clamshells in one pass, up to 200 parts per minute. By clamping each container instead of running it loose on a belt, the system applies branded and UPC labels accurately at full speed, with no-tool changeovers across sizes from 4 to 18 oz.

Thermoformed Labeling and Padding in one space, in one machine! Certain berry varieties, particularly raspberries and blackberries, require absorbent pads inside the container. These pads help capture moisture released by the fruit and keep the product looking fresh for consumers and eliminating messy berry juice on subsequent clamshells.
